Skimmie pool skimmer

I placed the skimmie into my pool skimmer as soon as I received it. And I wondered why I did not see any immediate change to the water flowing into the skimmer. Then I realize that with us getting 4 and a half inches of rain for the last three days the pool was so full of water the surface was over the top of the of weir door and unlikely to have any effect. Since the rain has stopped the whip effect is visible and the surface of the pool is cleaner and much less skimming by hand.

I’m very happy with the skimmie. It performs like it’s supposed to. I had to put a small rock in the basket because it floats when the pool is off.

The Cyclone is the sh*t bruh!!

I was recently researching for an alternative to hand-skimming my new pool every morning/afternoon to keep it nice and clean. During my research I ran into the Cyclone by The Skimmie Co...which I found to be one of the best designs if not THE best design for pool skimmer water flow filtration, but they were completely out of stock! I couldn't even find a resale on Ebay! Destitute, I decided to write an email to the owners of The Skimmie just to ask when and if they might be getting more stock...? Well, not half a day later and a wonderful person named Monica sends a response telling me they have a big order that would be coming in soon but in the meantime, they do happen to have one Cyclone at the house (In case of emergencies, I guess) and that I could purchase that very one if my heart so desired. Fast forward about a month later and I'm a very happy pool owner that no longer has to manually skim my pool twice a day to keep it clean.
Thank you Monica and The Skimmie! It's small businesses like you that make all the difference when treating your customers just as you would treat yourselves. I appreciate that.

pro: Definitely creates a vortex and helps surface debris meet the filter. con: will sometimes get moved out of position by large waves thereby needing to be repositioned. would be held stationary if built heavier
